We (Dorie and Steve) opened our doors in 1999 as cafe with computers (a cyber cafe) serving mostly coffee and deserts and the occasional soup.  As it turned out the soup was Seeeerious soup.  So Seeeerious that it became very popular and two more varieties of soup were added.  After about a hundred or so "oh-my-god this is good soup"s and maybe 50 or so "dude, this is Seeeeerious soup"s,  and the occaisional "put all of your soups in this bag and do not even think about calling the police" we decided to expand our menu.  The atmosphere is very romantic.  Low lights, soft music (bring your own bottle of wine - since we don't serve alcohol yet)    On most Saturdays we prepare a one seating full course meal with live entertainment served by candlelight.  We have an open mic on Friday nights and a on Sunday we generally have a musician on hand to add a little sumthin sunthin to the atmosphere.   The music is generally Jazz, or Classical  (There is no truth to the rumor that Diana Krall is a regular)  There games at some of the tables- you can play with Mr. Potato head if that's what your into. (not that there is anything wrong with that)  Although we do  feature ducks that can quack out "Old MacDonald" (even I am impressed) we still have not been able to find a Moose to sing "Embraceable You" in spats.  Anyhoooo, its a really cool place to have a cup of french-pressed coffee and a scone, or, if you want your mouth to be really really happy, a full meal.  The bread is home-baked.  The food is lovingly prepared to order.  (this is not a place for fast food)  We encourage our customers to PLEASE EAT RESPONSIBLY.  NEVER EAT ANYTHING BIGGER THAN YOUR HEAD.
